By accessing or using the DPDP Compliance Assessment service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Age Requirement (DPDP Act Section 9)
This service is intended for users aged 18 years or older.
If you are under 18:
You may only use this Service with verifiable parental consent. By using this Service, your parent or guardian confirms that:
- They are your parent or legal guardian
- They consent to your use of this Service
- They understand and agree to these Terms on your behalf
By using this Service, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years or older, OR
- You have obtained verifiable parental/guardian consent
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us immediately at privacy@dpdpscan.com.
3. Description of Service
The Service provides automated compliance assessment of websites against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
What the Service Does:
- Analyzes a website URL you provide
- Checks for compliance with 22 active DPDP Act requirements
- Generates a compliance report with scores and recommendations
What the Service Does NOT Do:
- ❌ Provide legal advice (consult a qualified lawyer for legal guidance)
- ❌ Guarantee legal compliance (report is for informational purposes only)
- ❌ Store or retain your compliance results
- ❌ Guarantee 100% accuracy (AI-powered analysis has limitations)
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information (valid URLs)
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to abuse, hack, or disrupt the Service
- Not submit URLs containing illegal, harmful, or malicious content
- Not use automated tools to overwhelm the Service (rate limiting applies)
- Respect intellectual property rights
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You must NOT use this Service to:
- Analyze websites you do not own or have permission to analyze
- Conduct competitive intelligence or scraping of competitor sites
- Bypass security measures (reCAPTCHA, rate limiting)
- Submit malicious URLs (phishing, malware, scam sites)
- Overload or stress-test our infrastructure
- Reverse engineer the Service
- Resell or commercialize the Service without permission
Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of access and legal action.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on this Service are owned by DPDP Scan Inc or our licensors.
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our code, design, or content
- Use our trademarks or branding without permission
- Create derivative works based on our Service
You may:
- Use the Service for its intended purpose
- Share compliance reports generated by the Service (with attribution)
7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

This Service provides informational compliance assessments only. It does NOT constitute legal advice. Consult a qualified lawyer for legal guidance specific to your situation.
NO WARRANTY
The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- 100% accuracy of compliance assessments
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That the Service meets your specific needs
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use the Service
- Reliance on compliance reports
- Errors or inaccuracies in assessments
- Service interruptions or data loss
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of this Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is compliant with the DPDP Act, 2023.
Key points:
- We collect minimal personal data (URL, IP, browser info)
- Compliance results are NOT stored by us

9. Service Availability and Modifications
